RRDtool 1.0.45 for HP-UX	(This file was last updated 2003-08-22)

The software depot RRDtool-1.0.45.1.depot.gz contains RRDtool 1.0.45
for HP-UX. It should run on any HP-UX 11.00/11.11/11i 32/64 bit
PA-RISC based system. The depot is not intended for Itanium based
systems!


How to install
- --------------

1. Verify depot's checksum if you have md5sum available

	b61f3eef05ecad089d5bbd02d6738c4d  RRDtool-1.0.45.1.depot.gz

2. Uncompress the file:

	gzip -d RRDtool-1.0.45.1.depot.gz

3. Install the depot just as any other HP-UX software depot (you must
be root, of course):

	swinstall -s $PWD/RRDtool-1.0.45.1.depot \*

RRDtool will be installed to /opt/rrd. Adjust /etc/PATH and
/etc/MANPATH manually.


How to remove
- -------------

Remove RRDtool just as any other package. Issue

	swremove RRDtool

as root user.


Build Process
- -------------

The package has been compiled using HP's GCC and Perl 5.8 as
obtainable on

	http://www.hp.com/go/gcc

and

	http://www.software.hp.com/

There were no patches necessary to make RRDtool compile.
